Heritage Signs & Displays Charlotte Project Spotlight

A Message From our CEO: Honoring 13 Years of Transformational Growth at Interstate Street

As we begin our next chapter at our new Charlotte campus, we want to pause and recognize the place that has shaped so much of our story: 2739 Interstate Street. Since May of 2013, this location has been more than a workspace—it has been a hub of creativity, collaboration, and daily purpose. It’s where our team grew, where our culture deepened, and where countless memories were made.

Designed as both a functional office and production facility, Interstate Street allowed clients and guests to experience our story in action. From the front lobby and office areas to meeting spaces and production, every zone was crafted to support clarity, confidence, and the work of the people using the space. It became a place that inspired us and reflected the excellence we strive to deliver.

This moment carries special meaning within the broader context of Heritage’s journey. Our expansion into Charlotte in 2008 set the stage for our evolution into the commercial interior branding and signage partner we are today. From this foundation, we’ve continued to grow—now operating five regional locations across the Mid‑Atlantic and the Carolinas, supported by two production facilities that bring our clients’ interior environments to life.

Through all of it, our gratitude is to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, whose provision and guidance have sustained our company and enhanced our culture each step. Our mission remains to honor God by serving our clients and community with excellence and integrity.

Leaving Interstate Street is a moment filled with deep gratitude—thankful for our teammates, our clients, the growth we’ve shared, and the many blessings we’ve experienced together in this place. It represents a meaningful milestone as we celebrate our 50th anniversary in the coming months, and it lays the foundation for an incredibly bright future for Heritage and the clients we are privileged to serve.

We look forward to sharing more about our new 4‑acre campus at 2744 Yorkmont Road in Charlotte, NC in the next edition of Transformations. Today, we simply honor the place we’ve called home for 13 remarkable years.

Commonwealth Savers | Project Spotlight

Overview

Heritage Signs & Displays partnered with Commonwealth Savers on a workplace interior refresh for their North Chesterfield location, bringing key brand moments to life across feature walls and glass throughout the office.

Commonwealth Savers is known for helping Virginians plan ahead through statewide savings initiatives and financial education. For the North Chesterfield workplace, the organization aimed to create an interior experience that felt welcoming and credible—one that reflects the mission while presenting their family of initiatives with consistency and confidence for team members, partners, and visitors.

The Heritage team produced and installed large-format wall graphics to establish visual anchors and create consistent story points as people move through the space. The team also applied frosted vinyl across interior glass to introduce privacy and brand presence while maintaining natural light and an open feel. To complete the environment, Heritage installed dimensional lettering that adds depth and hierarchy, creating an engaging way to identify key names and categories with clarity.

Project Goals + Background

Commonwealth Savers is recognized for administering major savings programs that help people prepare for what is next, including Invest529, ABLEnow, and RetirePath Virginia, alongside broader financial education initiatives. With multiple programs represented in one workplace, the interior needed a cohesive way to present the brand family without feeling cluttered or disconnected.

The goal was to bring structure to the space using brand-forward visuals that feel professional and welcoming. Key walls and glass lines offered natural “storytelling zones,” including a feature wall suited for an oversized map graphic and corridor-facing glass that benefits from privacy film without losing light. The final direction focused on three outcomes: a clear brand hierarchy, better visual flow through the office, and an environment that reinforces credibility from first glance to last step down the hall.

Process + Solutions Delivered

  • Wall Wraps: Large-format map wall graphics created a focal point that reinforces the organization’s reach and anchors the workplace interior with an easy, story-first visual.
  • Frosted Vinyl: Frosted vinyl privacy film on glass added discretion while integrating program iconography and brand marks that stay consistent across sightlines.
  • Dimensional Lettering: Dimensional lettering grouped the program family into a polished wall feature that reads clearly in person and photographs well for internal communications.

Final Outcome

The completed workplace interior now feels purposeful—from the first impression at arrival through the conference areas. Brand moments are placed with intention and scaled to the architecture, creating a cohesive visual language that ties each initiative back to one unified organization. The map wall establishes an immediate focal point, the frosted glass introduces privacy while preserving daylight and openness, and the dimensional lettering adds depth and permanence throughout the space.

Just as important, the environment now supports day-to-day culture. Team members work in a space that reflects the mission, visitors can quickly understand the programs at a glance, and the office reads as organized, credible, and welcoming throughout the full walk-through experience.
