Elevating a Leadership Summit with Strategic Visuals
Marathon Petroleum held its annual Leadership Meeting this spring at The Ballantyne Hotel in Charlotte, convening leaders, management and support teams for a multi-day series of sessions, workshops and networking events. Ahead of this major gathering, the event needed a cohesive visual environment that would reinforce key messaging, facilitate navigation and create a polished brand experience.
Heritage collaborated closely with Marathon’s internal event and design teams to supply a full suite of environmental graphics, wayfinding solutions and printed materials—delivered and installed on a tight timeline over a busy weekend.
Project Goals + Background
The Leadership Meeting required high impact visuals for more than 200 attendees. Marathon provided all final artwork and relied on Heritage to manage production files, coordinate layout, oversee delivery, install on-site and remove materials after the event. Challenges included last-minute additions, multiple formats of signage, and ensuring every piece aligned with the venue’s space.

Process + Solutions Delivered
- Wall Wraps: Installed large-format wall graphics in key interior locations to create branded arrival points and enhance the visual flow of the venue.
- Meter Boards: Produced and deployed over a dozen freestanding meter boards for daily schedules, welcome messaging, and directional information.
- Floor Graphics: Delivered branded floor decals to guide foot traffic and reinforce the event’s visual identity across high-traffic corridors.
- Life-Size Cut Outs: Created large-scale branded cutouts, including a driver suit and race car display, to support themed photo opportunities and reinforce attendee engagement.
- Wayfinding Signs: Provided directional signage, arrows, and informational boards to support navigation throughout the multi-day summit.
- Printed Materials: Produced a wide range of printed visuals including posters, agenda boards, easel-backed signage, table assignment cards, and elevator displays to support session transitions and event branding.
- Installation Services: Handled full weekend installation and post-event removal with close coordination alongside venue and client teams.
Each solution was executed with precision to support a seamless attendee experience and polished visual identity.
